What are sulphites?

What is tannin?

This term is common in the industry and you likely hear it when wine drinkers are referring to dry-tasting wines. Tannins are mostly noticeable in red wines and are a compound extracted from grape stems and skins. It adds bitterness and a dry complexity.

How long does wine last once it has been opened?

Most wines last for around 3-5 days after opening, although it depends on the type. Once a bottle of wine has been opened it interacts with oxygen. Keeping a bottle of wine that has already been opened refrigerated will help slow down the interaction rate and preserve the wine a while longer.
