It’s your first date with someone new and you want to make a good impression. You have waited all week to spend time with this special someone and now you are nervous about what wine is best. The one thing you want to avoid is purchasing a wine that she would drink with her friends at a girl’s night out. You will want to pick something a bit more sophisticated and classic.

Chardonnay

This wine is light and zesty, it’s perfect for a casual date or a date that is meant to be light and fun. The flavor of the wine will add to the ambiance you are trying to set for the evening. Chardonnay definitely says light and fun.

Zinfandel

Zinfandel has notes of licorice, cranberry, boysenberry, plum, cherry, black pepper and blueberry. Sharing a glass of Zinfandel or two with your date will set the mood for a sweet, meaningful evening with a bit of spark.

Pinot Noir

Show your date that you think they are special by serving them Pinot Noir, which is one of the most highly-prized wine worldwide. Pinot Noir has notes of vanilla, clove, licorice, mushroom, caramel, cherry, raspberry and Cranberry.

Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc has a blend of exotic notes of coconut, vanilla, nectarine, white peach, guava, passion fruit, kiwi, pear, green apple and lime. Serving your date Sauvignon Blanc sets the tone of the date to be passionate, light and easy going, with a hint of sexy.

Many people get nervous on first dates and what to serve their special someone. You don’t want to over-do-it and you don’t want to under-do-it, you want to find the perfect balance. First think of what type of person you are dating. Are they passionate and fun? Serve Sauvignon Blanc. Do they have a spicy and energetic personality? Serve a zesty Chardonnay.

You may want to think more of what type of mood or tone you would like to set for the date. Is it a fun afternoon outing or a romantic dinner? Choose one of these delectable wines for your perfect date.
